Our LUDENS Division was responsible for the CG production for the special exhibition, 'Galaxy Express 999 THE GALAXY EXPERIENCE: That Journey Continues,' which has been running at the Kadokawa Culture Museum since Saturday, April 25.
This event is a large-scale immersive spatial exhibition reimagined from the 1979 theatrical film “Galaxy Express 999”. Rather than simply screening the movie, it is an ambitious attempt to expand the theatrical release into a physical space.
In the main venue, the approximately 1,000-square-meter Grand Gallery, the audio-visual systems have been completely overhauled for this exhibition. Powered by the latest 4K laser projectors and an 8.1ch surround sound system, the exhibition utilizes the walls, floors, and the entire environment to unfold one of Japan's largest-scale galactic spaces.
The LUDENS Division was responsible for the CG production of the following 10 scenes:

4. Mt. Gun Frontier and The Deathshadow
5. Heading to Planet Maetel
6. Arrival at Planet Maetel
7. Interior and Collapse of Planet Maetel
8. The Arcadia and the Emeraldas
9. Exterior and Collapse of Planet Maetel
10. Farewell to Claire
In addition to the main venue, the exhibition features other immersive spaces designed to draw you into the world of the story. These include photo opportunities with a life-sized Galaxy Express train car in the foyer, an antechamber guiding visitors from the introductory video to the 'Galaxy Station,' and a 25-meter corridor lined with iconic lines from the film.
The event runs until Monday, October 26, 2026.
